Future Of Care, 2025
Robotic arms were first developed in the 1950s
and 60s to automate industrial tasks and
increase efficiency.
In the 1980s,the first surgical robot performed a
computer-guided brain biopsy — a turning point
in robotic-assisted medical procedures.
I mix footage of surgical robots with car videos
to explore the parallels in motion and automation.
The images are generated from
depth maps — they show how machines
"see" surgery in abstract visual data.
This reflects the evolving relationship between
humans and machines in healthcare
where autonomy, trust, and ethics converge.
